
Super Food for Breast Health
1. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
Consuming fresh fruits and vegetables with a moderate exercise decreases risk of developing breast cancer. Fresh fruit are rich in nutrients and antioxidants and vegetables provide potassium, fibre, vitamin A and C which again prevent many diseases and certain cancers.
2. Dairy Products and Poultry
Dairy products nourishes our body with calcium , vitamin D and healthy bacteria which again help fighting against cancers. Replacing red meat with pollotarian diet also provide fibre, protein and antioxidants to the body and prevent cancer.
3.Omega 3
Omega 3 rich foods are believed to slow growth of cancer causing agents. Flaxseed, walnuts, chia seeds, avocados, soya are rich in omega-3 which helps in lowering cancer risk as well as gives another added benefits like weight loss, brain development during pregnancy, prevention of heart disease etc.
4. Vitamin C

5. Beta-Carotene

They are known to low cancer risk in postmenopausal women. Carotenoids reduce oxidative danger and they are particularly helpful in reducing the risk of breast cancer. Carrots, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, winter squash, cantaloupe, apricots and mangos are rich in beta carotene.

Females with low vitamin D levels are at higher risk to develop breast cancer. Vitamin D regulates normal growth of breast cells which lowers the risk of breast cancer. If you have low vitamin D levels, less than 25 ng/mL then you should take weekly supplements for 6 months minimum. Sun bath is also a good source of Vitamin D.

Turmeric is a spice used in kitchen for centuries and is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. The curcumin in turmeric has been shown to fight certain tumors and demonstrates anti-breast cancer activity. Turmeric tea is good alternative.
9. Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil contains gamma-linolenic acid which aids in preventing breast cancer. Women responds better, who are already suffering with breast cancer, with GLA and tamoxifen. Women who have a deficiency in linoleic acid may be more sensitive to fluctuations in hormones, and evening primrose may help to alleviate the deficiency and help in abnormal menstruation.
10.Exercise and Meditation
Exercise, yoga and meditation relaxes your body, mind and help in maintaining hormonal imbalance. Post-menopausal woman should do activity for 30-45 min daily. Walking, gardening, yoga, tennis etc. are all great moderate activities suitable for all ages. Meditation reduces stress in cancer patients and enhances coping mechanisms and well-being.
