1. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
Consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables along with moderate exercise reduces the risk of developing breast cancer. Fresh fruits are rich in nutrients and antioxidants and vegetables provide potassium, fiber, vitamins A and C which again prevent many diseases and some cancers.
2. Dairy Products and Poultry
Dairy products nourish our body with calcium, vitamin D and healthy bacteria. Dairy products also help in fighting cancer. Replacing red meat with a polterian diet, provides the body with fiber, protein and antioxidants that prevents cancer.
3. Omega 3
Omega 3 rich foods are believed to slow the growth of cancer-causing agents. Flaxseed, walnuts, chia seeds, avocado, soy are rich in omega-3 which help in reducing the risk of cancer. Omega3s also benefit weight loss, brain development during pregnancy, and heart disease prevention.

Carrots, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, winter squash, cantaloupe, apricots and mangoes are rich in beta-carotene.

Special herbal teas that improve estrogen levels are believed to improve breast health. Green tea has anti-cancer properties that help prevent breast cancer. You can consume two cups of green tea a day.
7. Vitamin D
Women who have low levels of vitamin D have a higher risk of developing breast cancer. Vitamin D regulates the normal development of breast cells which reduces the risk of breast cancer. If you have low vitamin D levels, less than 25 ng/mL, you should take a weekly supplement for at least 6 months. Sun bath is also a good source of vitamin D.
Turmeric is a spice used in the kitchen for centuries and is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. The curcumin in turmeric has been shown to fight certain tumors and exhibits anti-breast cancer activity. Turmeric tea is a good option.
9. Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil contains gamma-linolenic acid which helps prevent breast cancer. Women who already have breast cancer respond better with GLA and tamoxifen. Women who are deficient in linoleic acid may be more sensitive to hormone fluctuations, and evening primrose may help reduce deficiency and abnormal menstruation.
10.Exercise and Meditation
Exercise, yoga and meditation relax your body, mind and help in maintaining hormonal imbalance. After menopause, a woman should do activity for 30-45 minutes daily. Walking, gardening, yoga, tennis are all moderate activities that are suitable for people of all ages. Meditation reduces stress in cancer patients and enhances coping mechanisms and well-being.
